  • By default, customers will be shipped a Connect card. Connect cards store value on the card and allow you to load your own balance using a debit or credit card from the staconnectcard.com website or STA Connect Card mobile app. You can also add cash to the Connect card through customer service at STA Plaza or through multiple Connect retail locations.

    Using your Connect card allows you to benefit from fare capping. By tapping your Connect card, you’ll never pay more than $2 a day with your reduced fare card and never more than $30 a month. You can load your Connect card with value at your convenience – as little as $1 at a time.

    If you would prefer to pay cash on the bus, you will not be able to use a Connect card and instead will need to show a Reduced Fare Cash Rider card to the driver before paying your fare. You will not benefit from fare capping and will pay $1 per 2-hour ride, no matter how many rides you take in a month.
